Guest guest
Hi Janet:     I was sorry to read how sick you have been. I wish I could answer your questions. I do know that we have a weak immune system due to the auto-immune diseases we have. I too strugle with getting sick a lot. I get Bronchitis easily, then it turns into pneumonia, U.R.I., and usually a hospital stay. I have had this so much I have lost count on the number of times. It is hard to know what we can do to try to stay well.     I know raising a child on your own is not easy. The getting so sick all the time, puts more stress and strife on you. I hope and pray things get better for you. I do know that stress does a job on us. I am going through a very painful divorce, and am trying so hard to stay well. I know I rest a lot, and am not in the public much either. I am taking Iron pills as my blood was low, and had to get a transfusion again. This is the third time in 5 1/2 years. I tire very easily too.     I pray that you will be pain free soon, and have better health. Rest when you can.  Hugs,  Barbara From: tenajsemaj <janetretzolk@...> Subject: [ ] Hi This Is Janet I havent writen in a Long time I have been pretty sick Date: Sunday, February 7, 2010, 8:00 PM  I found out last month that my white count was really low, from my hematoligist and they were watching it for a while, then decided to do the shots to bring it up, but it was little too late because the very day I had the shot that night I started running a fever out of nowhere of 103.5, my doc told me to go to the ER if it went over 100 so I did, being I was having a terrible headache at that point and my neck was killing me. I went in to make a long story short, ended up finding out I had MRSA in my rt ear which it went into my sinuses and also because of that I guess they figured how I got the Bacterial Meningitis, I was put on Cipro and Vinco both they gave me one then the other for 10 days IV, my viens from the steriods and everything in the past I have had to be on made it to where i couldnt have a reg IV anymore had to have a Pickline, like I always do because my body is just shutting down. The scarey part is I had meningitis last year and was in the hospital for 6 days that time. I thought this was something that was hard to get???? Now I have Rheumitiod Arthitis, vasculitis, they tell me Lupus sle too, and I just cant fight off alot of infection. Im affraid to do anything anymore, Im out now for a week, having a hard time breathing all week, and still have to get my sticthes out being I had surgery on my sinuses to get the MRSA out of that and my ear, My fever went up today and I am a single mom, trying to raise my son, How am I supposed to do this from the hospital.... . I dont have family to help, and I am so stressed I feel like I cant get well because I cant get the help I need long enough to get better. I have no idea what my options are . since my husband left me back in late 2008, its been a struggle to try to stay well and raise my son. I can only take one day at a time. But I would like to know why , I keep getting meningitis and how I can prevent it, Iam doing everything they say? what more can I do???? Just taking one day at a time God Bless everyone Janet
