Guest guest
Hi all and welcome to the newbies! So, I was at the dentist the other day and saw a tabloid mag with a picture of Kirstie Alley in it. Now, I don't normally read these things, but I had some time to kill and wanted to read the article on Kirstie. Sure enough, she has gained back the weight she lost while on Craig. Poor thing. She must really be in a bad place right now. I mean, we've all dieted and lost weight, only to regain it. But we didn't do so in the eyes of millions of people, and we weren't paid thousands of dollars to lose weight. She must feel like SUCH a failure. I hope she can find her way to IE someday... Also, as far as planning, I have grown to LOVE planning meals since IE, because I get to plan all my favorite things. Seriously, once a week, I sit down with a gorgeous cookbook and think " What shall I eat this week? " Then, I get to go to the market and, skipping and singing all the way, get to buy all of my favorite foods. It's such a delight, and is my very favorite part of IE. I get to feel wonderful about my love of food!
Guest guest
Hi Traci! I feel bad for Kirstie Alley though I can't say I am surprised she gained back the weight. As we all know 95% of dieters gain the weight back. I too hope she finds her way to IE. I am just starting to enjoy cooking! When I was dieting I used to buy cookbooks all the time...I was always thinking about food and looking through my cookbooks and drooling over all the food. I would cook sometimes but I ate a lot of frozen dinners. After I started IE, I thought I'm not gonna cook! I can eat french fries, pizza pockets, and Mr. Noodles all the time if I want to. But the last month or so I've started cooking a few things again. I bought a new cookbook of normal foods and I've finally realized I can make ANYTHING in the book I want! I made macaroni and cheese the other night...with real cheese, butter, milk and it was so yummy! And so much more satisfying than the frozen low fat macaroni I used to eat!
