Guest guest
Dear Keryn; I want you to know you are not alone. This happens to a lot of woman. There has to be a law to protect the employee. Before I had my children I was an Office Manger for 8 years. After my 3 son's were born I became very ill with repeated bacterial infections, sinus, bronchitis, strep, swollen glands, etc. In the hospital for 5 days because of strep and in a couple other times because I couldn't breath. Finally at 36 out came the tonsils. And than I started raising my son's alone. My ex-husband couldn't handle the responsible. We were making his life miserable. So I had to work. I have had so many jobs over the last 8 years. When we get ill and don't get better the employer and employee's can make life a living nightmare!!! Anyway I haven't work now in 13 months. I'm just to sick! And I'm not on SSI. We are about to lose our home. My kids have also been ill since Oct. 15th. CFIDS/FIBRO IS VERY REAL!! It has taken over our lives. We are happy, but sick and worried. We are actually spiritual stronger. But our bodies are so weak and sick. I just want you to know my heart go out to you. You would think people would care......but out there in the working world it is a cold hearted place. In God's love and Mine, (Your are in my prayers) P.S. Apply for food stamps on Monday and Workman's comp. Find out where you can get food. Check out heating and cooling asst. Don't wait and don't be to proud. Your ill and you need help. At first a was to proud, now I have the hang of it. :) But I still find it hard to ask people for rides to our new Drs. which are about 40 miles away. Who wants to take 4 sick people to the Doctors. Worry...worry...worry. I am also working on replacing worry with faith!!! When my worry pops up, I give it over to God, and take one day at a time. And have Faith!! Guest guest
Shell, Why are you going to Kaiser for 9 hours? Did I read that right? I remember how bad my hernia hurt when I first got it the first time. But, that was when my husband was ill, and I put fixing it for a couple of years. When it came back I didn't have the severe pain, like your having now. BUT I have to admit, I am sooooooooo glad it is taken care of now. Did the doctor give you something for pain? To all of you that are waiting, and who have gotten approved CONGRATULATIONS! There is no way to describe the feeling you get after surgery. More energy, and just a happier outlook on life. It is awesome. Hang in there the wait is well worth it! HUGS to all Mae
