Guest guest
Eggs, certainly egg whites were deemed off-limits on the BBD recently (the same molecular mimicry problem). I have an allergy to egg white anyway so don't eat them. It might be that in time it is found that the BBD is right for us but for the wrong reasons. It may simply be a healthy diet for anyone, if MS does turn out not to be an autoimmune disease. I would rather stick to the BBD regardless - it certainly has helped me enormously. Janet To: mscured From: freewitheft@... If you feel like you are ok with eggs, they are ok on BBD. I react to them, confirmed by ELISA test, but looking forward to the day when I can have them occasionally again.
Guest guest
Concerning omega 3 I`d really like to know how much people take and where they get it from. I`ve been getting mine from Zipvit and they are 1,000mg but recently I realised that its not the amount on the front rhat counts but the EPA and DHA in small print on the back, which in the Zipvit ones only totals 5000mg per tablet On a totally other issue I wondered what other members of the group do to ensur regular bowel movements . judith ________________________________ From: mscured [mailto:mscured ] On Behalf Of Janet Orchard Sent: Tuesday, January 25, 2011 11:20 PM To: MS-Cured Subject: RE: Re: New Member and need some help Eggs, certainly egg whites were deemed off-limits on the BBD recently (the same molecular mimicry problem). Acidophilus, as I don't do dairy. Either http://www.iherb.com/Bluebonnet-Nutrition-Milk-Free-Acidophilus-Plus-FOS-250-Vca\ ps-Ice/10548?at=0 or http://www.iherb.com/Rainbow-Light-ProbioActive-Probiotics-1-Billion-Cells-90-Vc\ aps/14590?at=0 I had tried everything ever mentioned on here (see archives), acidophilus was the best but CCSVI has totally cured that for me. Yes I am taking acidophilus and digestive enzymes. What kind of fibre is acceptable? I pretty much gave up all grains, so I think I need bulk. I also don't get any muscle contractions to move my bowels. I drink enough water. Exercise has not been happening because of fatigue. Guest guest
Hi Lynne I was having far too much movement with no way to contain it.....and then was suggested to use Slippery Elm. I have found that it now also helps get things moving when things come to a stall too these days. I do a detox every 3-6 months and that really helps as well! Going to the toilet used to be the cause of so much distress and worry for me......I'm so happy that I found what works for me. I hope others find what works for them too. Guest guest
Fibre - all main vegetable/fruit sources. Pysllium husks have helped me big time. Funnily enough honey on a rice cake seems to do something for me too. Try pynogenol/ginseng/gingko biloba for fatigue and maybe the exercise will come back. Janet To: mscured From: lynneandress@...
