Building Biology and Electrical Fields

All:

In the past, I mentioned the Graham-Stetzer filter, but I learned recently that

it might actually be a hoax. In case anyone tries to sell you a Graham-Stetzer

filter for MS, I want to say they might actually make the dirty electricity

dirtier and worsen your symptoms:

http://www.emfrelief.com/capacitive-filters.html The offenders themselves have

to be replaced (CFL bulbs, dimmer switches, plasma TV's, wireless technologies,

and any wiring issues that might increase magnetic fields, etc.)

On the other hand, I do think there may be some relationship between MS and

power quality/electrical issues. I learned recently about Building Biology

(buildingbiology.net), which is originally a German idea (Baubiologie) and about

how some people recover better if electrical fields are lowered.

Becker's book on the Body Electric is a great introduction to how electrical

fields can affect biology. He did a lot of experimentation with frog nervous

system to show that it was electrical in nature.

What I didn't realize before is that there are wires within the walls/floors in

residential homes using unshielded Romex wires. Even lamp wiring has unshielded

wires with electrical fields, after just plugging it in, even when it's not on.

You can verify this with an adjustable sensitivity non-contact voltage meter

from your hardware store for < $20. Thus, the electrical field in my room was

high even when I didn't turn anything on (~1000 to 2000 mV). Now I am trying an

experiment, to turn off the circuit breakers affecting my room the most.

Just hope if this can help someone.
