Guest guest
Hi all, Just came back from a 1700+ mile road trip from MA to ATL and back, Atlanta University- I graduated from 5 year program. What an adventure!!! B.- after reading your post I can TOTALLY relate. Instead of stopping for food/drinks/snacks along the way, I had to stop every 2- 3 hours to hit the restroom. I brought my meals and PLENTY of water. This was knowing that in the heat of Atlanta, Georgia my ankles will swell to 'cankles'. I did stop before and after my week in ATL. Stayed with a gf(in NC for a total of 8 days) that is a WW-aholic...non-fat/sugar-free this and that. While I ate chocolate cake(part of it) for an appetizer one night at dinner(I had went way past hungry by this point) and took 3/4 of my dinner home, she was eating salads and cardboard. My ah-ha moment was at 4am Sat morning while driving home when I realized that in the 16 days that I had been in the 'South', my Sweet Tea intake had been about 3 glasses when in previous years experience I would have had at least that much by lunch time on day 1. I even WANTED to get up and get some exercise. My clothes feel looser, and for for the first time I did not come home with swollen ankles and a weight gain. IE WORKS!!!
