Guest guest Posted January 22, 2011 Report Share Posted January 22, 2011 back inNov 16 thru Dec 3rd,I was hospitalized for my Ms flare up.I was treated with plasmphererisi(sp)Iv Solu Medrol didn't work.The plasma pheresis did work And I was ready to go home.Them my doctor wanted me to stay for Ketamine infusions.No one would give me an answer to possible side effects A nurse googled it for me-ketamine is a major tranquiler for large stock animals.Within a half hour of being on the Ketamine,I was completly disoriented,I was having hallucinations,and having pschcotic episodes.I was on this med for 5 straight days.since then I have lost my short term memory,very confused. My Psychiatrist has seen me twice since the infusion.He said I just need to ride it out.Probably another 2 weeks. Has anyone else had experince with Ketamine.It is 40mg an hour for 5 days. I just reviewed Ketamine and would think that I would at least have 5 questions as to why this drug, whats the experience with MS, the side effects, is the drug an experimental drug for MS and what should I expect as my personal experience? if there is a doubt i always say let me a few days to review it and i'll get back to you. its just my opinion ....Love is space and time measured by the heart.
