Guest guest
Hi Annie: You know, I was just like you before surgery, a little worried that I would be loosing my best friend and comfort buddy (Food). You will realize that after the surgery you really don't want to eat that much anymore and alot of times you don't want to have to eat at all. The great thing about it is that you will learn to find new comforts in life. My greatest comfort right now is my naps and maybe that's not the best thing in life but as a 10 week post-op, they feel really good. I too was very short fused with my two kids and everyone else in life, for that matter. My outlook on life is slowly but surely changing and I can actually see some happy days ahead of me. Take for instance yesterday, we went to Six Flags Great America and I rode the rides with my kids, I have never, since they were born, been able to do that. They were both so excited for me to be going on rides with them. Granted, the safety bars are still a bit snug but I know by next summer, I will be full steam ahead!!! Get excited about loosing the food friendship (and the weight) and gaining new friendships, ones that can love and care about you back. Good Luck to you...
