dermatomyositis or polymyositis

Hi

My RA symptoms were pain in the joints and muscles, mainly in my arms

and hands. I think the inflammation doesn't just affect the joints,

it affects the tendons as well which is what gives the pain in the

muscles. I don't get it much any more. If I have a flare up it's only

in the joints thank goodness. Prednisone is the only thing I can take

for it.

Hi, .

Both polymyositis and dermatomyositis are both systemic diseases. The

symptoms would not only be present at night.

My arms burn in various areas, on around muscles/elbow, wrist, palm of hands!

Over both muscle and joint areas. I think I have this in my arms? It did start

after an auto injury, but I already was suffering multiple symptoms of autoimmue

disease at the time and didn't have an idea what it might be.
