Guest guest
Hi Margaret, I have to admit that wearing a hat takes some getting used to. I felt like an idiot wearing mine at first, especially because I even have to wear it inside when I go shopping because of the fluorescent lights, but now I just put it on every time I go out the door and it doesn't even faze me any more. I think the key was finding a hat that I like and making it part of my " style " . I never really had a style before, but I do now! Also, if I wear my hat faithfully, it makes a really big difference to my face and that helped encourage me when I was self-conscious. The hat does attract people's attention which was something I really didn't want at first, but with the big brim on mine I can hide when I feel like it or push it back a little when I'm feeling good. Keep trying on hats until you find one that says " this is me and I'm mysteriously wonderful!
