Guest guest
I am most definitely a professional dieter-looking for the magic elixir that will change me into the thin woman I know I am supposed to be. I am fresh out of ww and want to be an intuitive eater. I have formed my support by joining a women's group and am about to embark on individual therapy with someone I am told supports this theory. If not I will keep searching. I am also joining this group as support. My name is and I am a 57 year old special education teacher. My life right now ha shappy moments but I am feeling very overwhelmed by a lot of little things.Vote for your city's best dining and nightlife. City's Best 2008. Guest guest
Hi Christy Welcome. My nutritionist directed me to IE too when she interviewed me and we discussed my emotional eating patterns. I used to throw up before WW meetings or take a double dose of diuretics. All very healthy, I’m sure. Hi all! Just joined the group this evening, and am so grateful to be here! A brief history: I'm a 28 year old married lady (for 3 months so far, haha!) who has struggled with an eating disorder for 3 years. I lost 50 pounds in 2005 on Weight Watchers, then developed an eating disorder trying to keep that weight on. I would chew food and spit it out, I'd deal with my emotions by controlling how much food (not much) I'd consume, and was miserable. In 2007 I visited a nutritionist, who introduced me to the concept of IE, and it's been such a relief to know that I'm not how much I weigh! I am a beginner at IE, and so am working - and it's a slow race so far, to be sure - as hard as I can to make this work. I am already feeling so much better psychologically by implementing what I have. Thanks so much for the listen! Just wanted to say hello, and I hope you all are doing well too! Guest guest
Welcome Christy~ I haven't been in this support group for long - but it has been so helpful! I've been IE for about a month now. I feel so much better in my head about food. I've battled with eating disorders and disordered eating for most of my life. This is the first time I feel like there's hope that does not include a food plan or diet. Thank goodness! Welcome! Kim H.
