Guest guest
I know the problem.I diligently do yoga/stretching every day at home and that seems to help. It is easy to get on the floor - I just sort of slide off my chair. Going in the other direction isn't so easy and I can't do it unaided but it is worth it.Others seem to have found a lot of help in power plates but I don't seem to be able to get off the starting blocks with that. My legs feel like they are strengthening but my spine staying the same (so far). I've no experience of chiropractors but have CST regularly and it feels that does something (not a lot but something). Hope you find something - and if you do, let us know. Guest guest
Three hours in a conventional pool means a lot of chlorine absorption. I hope your pool is " natural. " Martha
Guest guest
You are no more of an old lady than I, If the body doesn't want to swim anymore, it must have a reason. Sounds like you've got to respect it. Keep moving, keep smiling!JanetTo: mscured@...: brosta@...: Sat, 6 Dec 2008 12:25:06 +0000Subject: Re: Weak Spine (Janet)Janet,I had to stop swimming when my legs stopped doing their left and right bit. I gave it a good shot did it till I was 54. The other year I tried an Hydrotherapy pool but I was unable to even float, which turned out to be even more frustrating to me since I was a good swimmer.I'm always moving as many parts of my body that still move, thank goodness I do not suffer from Fatique. I stopped that back in 1977 when I started getting Vitamin B12 injections. But I am getting to be an old lady now. _________________________________________________________________ Explore the seven wonders of the world http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=7+wonders+world & mkt=en-US & form=QBRE
Guest guest
Yes, that used to worry me too. It has as low levels of chlorine as possible without getting algae. Last year we tipped loads of algaecide in it to clear a particular problem and after a few days I resumed swimming and swam like I haven't for years. My theory is that the algaecide facilitated the chlorine and even more was seeping into my pores. I know generally chlorine is bad but I wondered if somehow my body needs a little bit. It was at that time that MMS chloride was being talked about here and that is chlorine, isn't it? I'm no chemist, they are probably different.
