Guest guest
Hi Tawny...do you have " Supplemental Security Income " (SSI) or " Social Security Disability " (SSD)? SSD generally stays the same from state to state as it is purely a federal program. SSI is a federal program too, but with SSI *some* states give you an added benefit from the state itself, along with your receiving the SSI from the federal government. Not every state does this. However because some do, the amount you receive from SSI from state-to-state can vary. Checking with your case worker or whomever is doing intake at your local SSA office should help clarify your particular situation. Hugs... Cheryle in Oregon [ ] SSA question (OT) Hey all, I have a question, hope to hear from you all. I am on SSA, and thinking about moving sometime in the future. If I move to another state, will I still get my disability, or do I have to deal with social security in the state I move to. Does this make sense? Thanks, Tawny
