Guest guest
Welcome to all the " new ones " in the past few days. Patty, I too take insulin and all kinds of drugs - it's a pain isn't it? Just insulin by itself makes you hold on to fat. I think the most important thing to learn about in IE is that everyone has to find the things that work for YOU. If you start comparing your way of IE to someone else's it will make you crazy. I've been doing my version of IE for several years, and I still learn new things about myself every day. The one thing I do every single day is look at myself in the mirror and make this statement to myself: " No matter if I gain or lose weight, I promise myself that I will NEVER torture myself with a diet again " . I lose, but very slowly. I still eat feelings sometimes, I eat dessert for dinner sometimes. I sometimes get distracted and don't pay attention to my hunger and full signals. But I don't diet. I don't gain weight either. And I feel better about myself, because I'm not always beating myself up about failing yet another diet. Am I overweight?? You bet, but I'm not trashing myself about it, and to me that's the best part of IE. I love the support on this group and all the different ways we all work our programs. Good luck on your journey. jb
