Re:TIME OUT and a question re 'cleiectomy' of the big toe

I'm confused too as I don't think Stan said anything controversial - also

perhaps we need to remember this isn't a US group but has members from all

over the world? The rest of the western world is in recession too...The

group is terrific when it sticks to RA/arthritis stuff - maybe we need to

try harder to avoid non-RA stuff?

Stan, you are a tonic - please don't go all quiet

Now a question for the group: has anyone had a cleiectomy (sp?) of their big

toe? (They open it up, remove debris like cysts and remove bony spurs etc).

I'm having it done next month and wondered if it helped in walking without

pain? That's my goal - I'll probably need my toe joints fused in the the

future but this is to 'buy me some time' so to speak.
