I can only share my own experience...I had no pain from RA during my pregnancy

and didn't take any medications, in fact I went off of everything for a few

months before I got pregnant. I breastfed for 4 months with no pain, so if you

have strong feelings about breastfeeding I would say give it a shot. The only

problem I had while breastfeeding was a bout of tendonitis in my hands, which is

common after pregnancy. I actually didn't have RA symptoms again for about 6

months after I stopped breastfeeding, and then went back on plaquenil. It is

impossible to predict how your body will act, but again if it is something you

feel strongly about (as I did) I would try it.

difficulties with meds but am lucky enough to be able to tolerate the MTX. Have

they tried her on Plaquenil. I know some people have good luck with that. I

did not see it mentioned in your list of medications so I thought it was worth a

try to at least ask her rheumy. Good luck.
