Guest guest
Dear Arlene, I can still walk, if you can call it that. I hang on to a lot...walkers, chairs, walls, roommate, friends...both of my sisters are in wheelchairs. My one sister uses a motomed and she says it helps though she still can't walk. At $4000 I can't afford that. I think she strengthened her lega but ignored her abs and she needs those to stand up. Crazy Fit is both massage and vibration, at lest that is how it is advertised, and you can switch between the two. I just got it set up, only tried it once, and will let everyone know how it works. I think you can just put your leg on it and it will give you some benefits. The instructions say 10 minutes twice a day. I have to get a sports bra. That much vibration and my boobs will end up around my ankles. I think my jowels are a gonner. I am desparate to get some leg strength back so I guess I'll have to trade it for sag...sigh... I am contnuing chelation, then will move on to Lyme and Candida. I'll either get better or explode...Lydia
Guest guest
Lydia, you lucky thing, still being able to " furniture walk " . I put my legs on my power plate for the first week, seated in my wheelchair but my pelvis didn't like it. After just that first week, I've managed to stand on it but my pelvis still wasn't happy till I slowed down. I feel the power plate finds anywhere that is weak and focuses on it.Bending your legs helps loads (lessens vibration to the boobs and jowls too) and more of the vibration seems to go to the legs. I can only do this if someone holds my knees and stops them caving in. Although the instructions say 10 minutes twice a day, remember (unfortunately) us with MS cannot do that certainly to start with. I do the " secretary pose " in yoga every day which helps monitor how my hips are getting on with the power plate. Also I am balancing for a few seconds on an exercise ball as I feel that if the power plate does remind my legs how to walk, they won't be able to do it without balance. Good luck with it.
