Guest guest
Hi all, I was diagnosed about 10 years ago with MS and about 3 years ago I began going to a local Ashtanga Yoga class. My MS is " light " , in other words I still have a full time job and raised 3 kids during this period. But as expected my physical ability and stamina are slowly waning. I found Yoga to be a truly amazing activity that somehow targets the physical weaknesses we all suffer from. It works on strength, balance, flexibility and calmness, without overstressing. I heard (and found on the Internet) Yoga groups in the United States that target the MS community with specially designed classes, some with students in wheelchairs. I live in Israel and have not found any similar classes here. I'd be interested in hearing if others have had the same experience with Yoga, and also if anyone knows if there is any special training a Yoga instructor needs to take in order to hold classes for MS. Thanks, Esther
