Guest guest
In 1982 after the birth of my daughter, I ended up with Pappiladema (msp). Where the brain acts like it has a brain tumor and there is a lot of swelling. This is when I was formally diagnosed with RA. In 1997 I had a cataract removed from my right eye and ended up with Episcleritis. Very painful and had to be on steroids. Unfortunately I can't see out of the eye now...only a blue like film. I have a cataract on the left eye now and can't see very well from it without my glasses. I have the soreness, redness and the throbbing as before and but the eye specialist says that it is nothing he can do and but treat it with steroid med. I have been on Remicade and Humira. Started again on Rituxin for a second trial back in march of this year. It worked wonders for the first month and now I am on a flare up with my hands and wrists, feet swelling and more stiffness in the morning lasting almost all day. Pain med's...darvocet does no good unless I add extra strength tylenol. I hate using my cane for I feel gets in my way. But lately have had to creep around to do what I need to get done. Whenever I have something that gets to hurting I am usually told it is due to my RA. I am 49 yrs. old and I feel like I am 90. My kids great aunt is 89 and she gets around better than I do. One problem I have is how others don't know why I am hurting and I have to try to explain to them why I can't move as fast as they do or do things in a way that will accommodate me. Did not mean to ramble on and on, but today I am hurting and have not slept in 2 days. Yes, having RA sucks really bad!!!!! Guest guest
(((((Kami))))) - do the doctors think the black out you had in June is related to the scleritis? It stinks that the main cause of scleritis is Rheumatoid Arthritis - yet they say only 1% of patients with RA will develop scleritis. I pray its something they can help control. I pray you have some positive test results for a change when they do your MRA. Keep us posted - prayers are with you.....Doreen I blacked out 6/28.
