Guest guest
Dennis, I'm fascinated, what kind of bees do you raise? Do you harvest the honey? Have you had any problems with the hive collapse syndrome that I've read about? Do you wear the cool hat? Pictures? Tell us more! (I hope I'm not the only bee nerd out there) Kate F ________________________________ From: Dennis W <betnden@...> Sent: Friday, July 17, 2009 9:15:15 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Apitherapist Uses Bee Stings to Treat MS, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis I've raised bees for a while and haven't felt the stings to be a problem. Wasps, Hornets, or other bees (Bumble) can be really bad and gets worse from there. I don't know the mechanics of it, but these stings work well for me. Guest guest
The last hive of our European bees moved out of their home in the early spring because I guess they didn't like the accommodations and I didn't add any supers so they could grow. They only moved about 200 yards to our well house and started building in the walls. To collect this honey I'll have to figure out how to get to the honey without angering them and giving them good reason to move again. I do have the " funny hat " but not the paper suit. I just wear a pair of coveralls and work gloves if I'm feeling adventurous. It's been a while since I've collected any honey since the RA has gotten worse enough to lose the desire. They will be 'happy' without any outside interference. Dennis in eastexas On Sat, Jul 18, 2009 at 9:22 AM, Fair <kalfoley@...> wrote: > > > Dennis, I'm fascinated, what kind of bees do you raise?
