Guest guest
Hi Barb..... My feet area a mess too...along with the hands. My podiatrist told me that there are no bones in my little toes anymore. He said I should try New Balance shoes ... they're the best. I have the nodules and hammertoes, etc. Such a pretty sight. I've had surgery on my right foot back in 1999 ....hammertoes and bunionectomy. Those bunions that I had were pretty ouchie. I had an infection in my right foot awhile back...it was because one of the screws from the op was coming out so I had to have surgery to remove the screw. Then another time I had an infection also. always have to be careful. I doubt my surgery days will ever be over. I'd like to have surgery on my hands but the hand surgeon said that surgery is not perfected and we may go thru with it and he'd have to reverse it like he did for a gentleman that he just operated on. so unless I'm in pain 24/7 and have some strength in my thumb and forefinger, I just have to have deformed hands. I take darvocet for pain when I need it. I know...divorce is so tough and you were together for a long time. It doesn't do much for your spirit...but you're a wonderful, caring, strong person and I have faith that it may take some time but you'll be okay. I was like you with a divorce I had and years later, I realized it was the best thing that happened to me... Dave will be gone for a year on the 27th...seems surreal..that long but seems like yesterday too. Hang in there Barbara..... Hugs..a
Guest guest
Hi a. So good to hear from you. You're like me, I think we will forever be doing some sort of surgery. Bad enough dealing with our RA daily. I am having the MRI because my Rheumy wants to be sure I don't have an infection in that Nodule. So much goes on with our bodies from the RA. Nothing is ever simple with us.  Gosh, its been a year already since Dave passed on. Time is going much to fast. It is almost the end of April! I know it has been a hard year for you too. Your heart is heavy from his passing, and mine is heavy from the loss of my marriage. Life is hard sometimes. But I know we will both heal in time.  I know you have a bad time with your hands. Sometimes surgery is not the best option. Your Dr. gave you some good advice. My hands have not bothered me much until lately. I don't know if it is the weather or what. When I get up in the morning, my hands are so painful and I can hardly move them or bend them. It takes a long time before I can actually use them. I don't know if it is RA or Osteo. I swear it is always something else to deal with. Right??  I am glad you are doing better and no more infections to deal with. Today I went to my Derm. Dr. to get some cancer cells removed. I am dealing with skin cancer off and on, for about 25 years now. I see him every 4 months so he can stay ahead of it for me. He surgically removes them after the biopsy is done and it is positive. Lots of fun a.  I will talk with you again soon. I think of you a lot, and am always happy to hear from you. Take care of yourself, and I wish you many good and pain free days ahead.  Love and hugs,  Barbara From: rascalsniche@... <rascalsniche@...> Subject: [ ] Hi Barb from a Date: Monday, April 19, 2010, 3:29 PM  Hi Barb.....
