Here in Europe there are Brita water filters - charcoal I believe from memory

but I haven't used them for years.

Can you get them in the States?

I drink locally bottled water from the many mountain springs here.

I try to drink a lot of Penta bottled water which is guaranteed fluoride free,

BPA free, and fuaranteed free of many other toxines. It apparently goes through

7 -- or 11 ??? -- filters and the bottles are BPA free plastic as well. However,

due to the expense of this water, I have to intersperse this with other waters.

I often read that bottled water is mostly tap water. However, here in the states

every time I buy bottled water it either says " reverse osmosis filtered " on it

or it cites the source of the spring water. So I am not sure where this idea

that many say the most bottled water is just tap water in a bottle is coming

from. I don't believe that based on what I read on the bottles.

Yes, we have them here and I use one to rid my well water of sediments like

gypsum and minerals like magnesium. It does not remove fluoride from the water

but that isn't an issue since nothing is added to it. RO and distillation take

everything out of the water, good and bad. Getting the optimal water has been a

long running dilema.
