Guest guest
Hey When my hubby started taking insulin for his diabetes he had me do it for the first week. He just couldn't get the nerve to stab himself with a needle. When I asked him why he said I wouldn't understand until I had to do it. I realized he was right. I didn't know what it was like. When I first started taking enbrel and methotrexate injections it was not easy. I just bit the bullet and did it. After about 3 injections it dawned on me (I can be slow. lol) that I didn't hurt as much and I wasn't taking that much pain meds as before. I am on injection #6 and I only take 1 pain pill at bedtime and once in awhile one during the day. It also gets easier each time I inject myself. If it takes someone else injecting the enbrel at first I recommend you find someone. As for the side effects, I didn't even think about them. I don't care. I hurt so bad. I was in tears. Now I am out getting my chicken coop ready for this years 150 chicken flock coming April 11th. Along with the barn for the 2 piglets, 5 turkeys and the 1 beef cow I have to raise this year. And for the first time in 12 months I was able to take a walk with the horses out in the pasture. In the SNOW!!! I was in heaven. I am so looking forward to riding my horse again. When you are injecting that enbrel just think of all the things you luv to do. Soft hugs and warm thoughts in MN
