Guest guest
I got rid of my neuro after his negativity following my CCSVI treatment and I feel MUCH better for going it alone. He never did anything for me anyway, apart from tell my how my life was awful and that of course I would be better if I were on Tysabri. Religiously I would go and see him twice a year for him to ridicule my self-help ways and rubbish nutrition, supplements and exercise. Question yourself - do you really need a neuro? Guest guest
Joy, I don't have any names but I can completely relate to your experience. I feel depressed for days after every visit to the neuro. Every neuro I have seen (three in total) have told me MS is progressive and I should just hope for the best. I was told the same thing by a chriropractor and even two natural healers. Two other chiropractors told me " well we'll see if we can slow it down. " I think most of this thinking comes from the MS Societyy's views which trickled down to the med schools and the doctors. It seems like when it comes to MS, so many practitioners are " doom and gloom. " Apparently these practitioners are not aware of all the healing stories or even the stories of those who have remained stable indefinitely. I have only come across one or two natual practitioners with a positivve attitude about healing, although I didn't feel they helped me nearly as much as what I have learned from my fellow peers with MS. I imagine some neuros out there do have a positive attitude but they are few and far between. Most of them probably feel useless because they have put their patients on the Interferons and not advised them to make any lifestyle changes and planted negative ideas in their heads and thus watched them get worse. I really dislike and distrust conventional medicine and the FDA endorsements of anything means ZERO to me. The FDA are the ones afterall who approved aspartame, vaccines, and amalgams. The government proliferates the environmental toxins and keeps cigarettes legal while making THC illegal. Hence, many of us probably got sick because of what the FDA allowed. What a darn shame. But I digress here. ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Wed, March 9, 2011 4:28:59 AM Subject: Re: Anyone know of a neuro in N. ca. ? Guest guest
In my view there would be only a few circumstances I would see a neuro anymore. They are the following: --needed to apply for government Disability --A very acute attack where someone may wish to consider IV steroids --If something very unusual occurs and one suspects something more serious such as a brain tumor. --To get a doctor's note for work accommodations. Can't think of anything else offhand. ________________________________ To: MS-Cured <mscured > Sent: Wed, March 9, 2011 4:52:21 AM Subject: RE: Anyone know of a neuro in N. ca. ? Guest guest
One needs a neuro to stay on disability which I need. They need a neuro to order alternative treatments that unfortunately need a perscription like LDN. So yes I do need a neuro. ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Wed, March 9, 2011 9:36:24 AM Subject: Re: Anyone know of a neuro in N. ca. ?  In my view there would be only a few circumstances I would see a neuro anymore. Guest guest
Yeah Joy, hadn't thought of that. My internist/GP (general medicine doctor) used to write my LDN scripts when I took it. Surprisingly he had no problem writing it, even though he was not familiar with it. He didn't even ask for literature. Bihari wrote my first script and then my GP wrote it thereafter for the 3 of the 5 years I was on it. I think you are right that one needs to keep the neuro if on SSDI because every few years SSDI checks in to make sure the claimant is still eligible, and if that person has not continued to see a neuro, it could give SSDI more of a chance to try to cut off the benefit. Thanks for pointing out these reasons. I do personally see the neuro once every 1-2 years just in case I ever need him for something unexpected, but every visit is terribly depressing. Even the office is gloomy and the aura in the air of the office is like a haunted house. ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Wed, March 9, 2011 2:17:27 PM Subject: Re: Anyone know of a neuro in N. ca. ?  One needs a neuro to stay on disability which I need. They need a neuro to order alternative treatments that unfortunately need a perscription like LDN. So yes I do need a neuro. ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Wed, March 9, 2011 9:36:24 AM Subject: Re: Anyone know of a neuro in N. ca. ?  In my view there would be only a few circumstances I would see a neuro anymore. Guest guest
The visit was soooo horrible. It takes a couple of days to recover mentally from seeing him. I am going to try to find another one. I also am officially stopping all ms meds and trying to detox them out of my system. I am going to do as much raw food as possible. It helped before maybe it will help again. Unfortunately I need the ssi checks to survive. Its scary because what they give me is only enough to buy groceries. Its not enough to rent a place and live. ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Wed, March 9, 2011 11:40:02 AM Subject: Re: Anyone know of a neuro in N. ca. ?  Yeah Joy, hadn't thought of that. Guest guest
I feel the same about doctors and the medical system, the fda. Its a corupt group. I studied herbology and learned the history of the medical field. It's all about money, keeping people sick, milking people for everything they have. It's very sad. Now I am cleansing my body of the meds I have been on. I started decreasing things a few weeks ago and my mind is clearer. I feel a bit better everyday. ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Wed, March 9, 2011 9:33:47 AM Subject: Re: Anyone know of a neuro in N. ca. ?  Joy, I don't have any names but I can completely relate to your experience.
