About the Birds.............

I don't know how this e-mail I just read started, or who it was about, I'm crying too hard.I just had to give up my babies,2 Amazons and a Grey. They were the most loving animals I've ever had. Having 6 children, you can imagine I've had just about everything. I was meticulous with the cleaning gages, so when they said I had to give them, I was beside myself. Bird lovers know that the first thing a Dr says with many diseases is, give up the birds. I rebeled, I wouldn't believe it and just couldn't do it. Well I called my Avian Vet and he told me that even if they hadn't been the initial cause, what they emit chemically, as well as the dust from their fecal matter, would exacerbate any lung condition! My Sophie would ask me "Whatcha doin' Boo" and when I said working, she would sigh and say,"I love you Boo". Kauai would sing and when he hit a high note, he'd ask, "Did you like That"? They talked all the time and

were always out if their cages, except at bed time. It was a lot if work and I'd do again in a heart beat I could go on and on, but I'm writing this to let whoever has birds, since they have been gone, I have not coughed nor have I had to go back to the hospital. I was in for 8 days and my house had to be completely cleaned. As much as I didn't want to believe it, it was proven. I had gotten out of the hospital the time before last ,and because I could hardly breath even on the 02 I had to go right back in. I guess the proof is in for me because , I am on no drugs for this beside the 02. They took me off AdVair and they are taking me off prednisone next week. I only wish I had found out before the scaring. My babies have good homes, in fact 2 of them are together. At least that helps a lot! I still have days I miss them so much, but my health was not only for me, but also for my
