Guest guest
I agree with , and that is how I handled reading the book as well, which took me longer than it should have. I think you'll find the book enlightening and freeing, rather than just another diet book. If you want to be doing " something " , you could try journaling your thoughts when you eat to see if you are eating because you are hungry or for other reasons. Instead of counting points or calories, you can count your feelings. - > > Hi Jennie, > I think you will find the " Intuitive Eating " book VERY helpful. Guest guest
Well, I found the book - wouldn't you know if was over with the " diet " books. Big fat eye roll to you, book store! I look forward to starting it tonight. , I've always aspired to journaling, but I'm no good at it - I tend to use it for a few days and then put it down for a year. I started a Blog a few months ago because I thought that would be a little easier than a paper/pencil journal. I'm an editor by nature. I think that has helped with working out some of the feelings, though I don't exactly feel free to use it at work quite yet. > > > > Hi Jennie, > > I think you will find the " Intuitive Eating " book VERY helpful. Guest guest
Hit send before I intended to! Anyway, one of the positive things I will say about my time with Weight Watchers (or " The Cult " as one friend calls it) was their Core plan encourages eating when hungry and stopping when satisfied and noting how you feel when you eat. I don't use my planner for much - maybe I can just start jotting down a feeling in it when I eat something. Like today I was hot and frustrated, so I ate a candy bar. Maybe just having written the word " frustrated " would have helped. Thanks for the input on the book. > > > > > > Hi Jennie, > > > I think you will find the " Intuitive Eating " book VERY helpful. > It will > > > definitely not make you feel like you are dieting.
