Re: How do you deal with diet pressure

If I were in your shoes, I'd take the opportunity to spend the next 15

days loving and taking care of my body. Get a massage, buy a new

outfit that's flattering to your figure, get your hair styled...a

manicure and a pedicure, ask for hugs, hug yourself, dance, sing with

feeling and express from your deeper self...enjoy your body. Your

performance is an expression of your self and your body. Celebrate

your voluptuousness! I've found that the more loved and taken care of

I feel...the more confidence I have...and I exude that confidence,

comfort, and peace with myself outward. Give energy to helping make

the performance an experience that you enjoy and let go of any

thoughts that don't support your intentions. Know and feel that you

are truly taking care of yourself by working with the IE principles

and that you are supported here. Taking care of yourself in a balanced

way is the best model that you can provide to all the people you touch

by your performances.

Good luck!

:)

I can't help but wonder if it wouldn't be easier, not to speak of much

more pleasant, to just get new/different costumes?!? And if you really

think about it - your audience is there to watch YOU, not your

costumes or some barbie doll figure (unless you are a show gal in Las

Vegas that is). From what I've heard here, if you feel comfortable

with yourself, that will come thru wonderfully. And if you feel you

must 'present' some image or expected cliche person, then I bet you

are uncomfortable and the audience disappointed in the end too.

Just my thoughts - Katcha

Great advice Latoya, I've decided to follow it. PLus I don't think

it's wise to starve for a week and a half and pass out on stage

because I didn't eat enough.

So I've set up a little plan to go take care of myself in a spa

before the gig, the dansing rehearsals or going to get me back in

alignement with something I love, and since I enjoy abs in front of

tv I might as well do that.

No pressure, thank you for reminding me what truly matters :) The

message itself, not it's packaging.

You're right Katcha, as always a very logical and uplifting advice. I

am in the mood for new anyways.

And you're also spot on when you're talking about me having to feel

good and comfortable within myself so I can transmit to the audience,

otherwise they might indeed feel that I'm not.

And also, I want to focus on rehearsing and enjoying myself rather

than on starving and losing reading ' how to lose 20 pounds in 8

minutes'... been there, and done that.

Thanks to you too for reminding me what matters : without is always

reflection of within, if I focus on the outside and the inside

doesn't follow, what's the us? nobody wants a pretty fruit that's

rotten inside. :)
