I've noticed a lot of positive changes in me since starting my IE

journey. I always thought I had anger management issues. I'm

finding I feel good now as it's so much deeper than the weight. It's

really about self discovery as I have time now to think and work

through things instead of always obsessing about the number on the

scale or numbing feelings with food. I do unfortunately get worried

about feeling good that every time this happens I think something bad

will happen, however, I am trying very hard to stop those thoughts.

I have a couple of things I wanted to comment on and how I changed my

attitude to handled things. I have two beautiful dogs I love to walk

but have not been enjoying my walks as the puppy walks me. I went to

the pet store and found an amazing collar that has completely stopped

the pulling and it's very comfortable for her as it's not around her

nose. I love to sit out back and enjoy my coffee but have not been

able to as the neighbour has the music (not my type of music) kind of

loud so today I got my small stereo put it out with me and put on

relaxing music to drown out her music. I would usually go inside and

find something crunchy to eat to deal with my frustration and let it

ruin my day. Sometimes it's about finding the right tools. IE is

another tool that has helped me. I'm noticing I have more and more

days where I can really pay attention to my hunger and fullness. I

have to pay closer attention when I get over tired.

Thanks,

J.

That is wonderful J!! You really are making progress, especially in

alternatives to eating for non-body hunger. I think each time we

eliminate a part of the 'distraction' of EATing, we get one more step

closer to being able to pay more attention to eating for our body/fuel

sake. BRAVO :)

Hi J,

Interesting comment about losing contact with hunger signal when over tired, I do that all the time, either this or coffee, sometimes I just can`t rest because my 4 years old is never resting except at night. I need to find creative solutions for this..

Thanks for the inspiration

Nat
