He said that I must have had other symptoms before the back pain. I said no. He said that there was no way that my only complaint was a backache. The second time was the same thing but I knew what it was. The doc said that same thing. I guess I am fortunate that I don't have the burning, or other symptoms. lee Hi Lee & all! I can normally diagnose my UTIs within about 3 hours of onset. And if I am not treated very shortly after that... it will back up into my kidneys within a day. Lots of infections as a child... was on Sulfa for 10 years. Birth to 10 years old. Have had only 5 or 6 UTIs since 1995, and sadly the majority of them have been in the last year or so. Had anaphylaxis to Sulfa in 1995 when i was put on it for a UTI. Was on the interstate when the reaction started... paramedics do NOT make good patients especially when they have to be taken off the highway by an ambulance service that can only run you "code 3" to the ER for treatment... it was a Basic Life Support rig, and I needed Advanced Life Support really bad!!! But I made it there, and was met in the ambulance garage by paramedics and the ICU doctors... I guess scared the ambulance crew, and state patrol pretty bad... because they called ahead! I am off now, my allergies are all set off, and I am cranky now too! talk to you all soon! Love Always, Anne
Guest guest
Hi Patti - This has been a real problem for me over the last nearly 25 years! I've seen various urologists and some of the things that helped me were/are: taking cranberry pills or drinking unsweetened juice when I have an infection; homeopathic remedies (you should see a certified classical homeopath to determine which is best for you); taking macrobid after sex, and urinating before and after intercourse; and taking septra daily over a period of a year. This last helped the most but it also created a huge candida problem! it is a tough balancing act. I think homeopathy has helped me the most but I still have burning urine nearly every day. Good luck - Jennie Date: Fri, 21 Dec 2001 21:17:23 EST From: patbov4@... Subject: kidney and bladder infections (was: Mannotech) I am currently having one blader/kidney infection after another. Four rounds of different antibiotics and now worried about a return of intestinal candida so I am back on the anti-yeast diet. Has anyone found something that helps with these recurring infections? Is it due to a weakened immune system? Thanks, Pattie in GA > I tried d-mannose from this company for my constant > bladdey and kidney infections. Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am once again suffering from a horrible kidney infection and was wondering if any of you ever have this and is it because of RA? I am on MTX, Rituxan and Folic acid, Celebrex, I dont think these are hard on the kidneys but I am in horrible pain today in my lower back. I am worried there is more going on as this is the 3rd this year for me???? Anyone with any advice?
