Question about surgery

I just found out i have to have my ovary removed which will require surgery,

i am wondering if i have to come off my methotrexate? Does anyone know.

Jolene:  you will always have to stop drugs that weaken the immune system before

surgery because of the risk of infection during surgery can be high - and very

problematic when you in a weakened condition because of the physical trauma to

your body.

I think because of the immuno-suppressant nature of it.
