Guest guest
Hi Barbara, Thanks so much for your encouragement. I should do the shots. I took the shot a few months back when I tried MTX, but felt crook as hell then too and thats when i gave up. I wish I was like you and others, and could tolerate all these drugs. I feel so alone. I don't think there's much hope for me, as everyone thinks I'm from a different planet or something. I'd be happy to rattle around with drugs if the side effects were at least tolerable and I got out of pain. You've also had joint replacements and I'm glad they went well and you feel fine - I'm on the waiting list for my left knee now. Hips or shoulders next I suspect. I don't know how I'll go if I'm on MTX - hope it doesn't weaken me for an operation. I was determined not to start MTX for my op 6 weeks ago, but now I have to do something. Besides, who knows what happens to our disease when there's no joints left to attack ?? all the best from Leonie
Guest guest
Hi Leonie: I do know it takes time for these RA meds. to work. Maybe you need to go on your MTX shots, and give it a chance to work. I hope you get your replacement date soon. I go today at 1:30p.m. and hope my surgery is very soon. I am still down for the count. My pain is just terrible. Living on the couch, lots of ice, and lots of pain meds. What a life!!!!!! Wishing you pain free days ahead. Hugs, Barbara > > Hi Barbara, > Thanks so much for your encouragement. I should do the shots.
