Guest guest
Hi Jaayimee, I have probles with my hips and have from day one. I also started out on Plaquenil but was switched to Mtx after about 4 months. That has made a big difference for me. I can no longer take nsaids so my rheumy has started me on Tramadol for pain. That is helping too. Make sure you tell you rheumy how much trouble you are having. Try keeping a journal so you can take it to your next appointment. that way you don't forget anything. If you still get no where with you rheumy, it may be time to look for a new one. Betsy in the VI > > Are hips involved with RA? I'm a seronegative diagnosed person and was placed on plaquenil over a year ago. My hand joint pain and toes have gotten a lot worse this winter and now my right hip is giving my pretty bad pain. I think the plaquenil is not helping me but he says my joints are not being attacked yet and he thinks is a very mild form. I am allergic to NSAID's. Is there any thing else that can help me? I have an appointment with him in April and at my last appointment we discussed prednisone for flairs but these arn't flairs it's constant pain. Has anyone not had the plaquenil work and moved on to some thing else? I need some new ideas before I see him again. > >
