Guest guest
CCSVI (Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency) basically is a reflux of blood in the veins from the brain and spine. Many, many people with MS also have (or maybe only have) CCSVI. It has been found that they have iron deposits in the brain, which stands to reason if the blood hasn't been draining properly. Not many people diagnosed with ALS have yet tried CCSVI treatment but as our end results (iron in the brain) and our current symptoms overlap so much, to me it would be worth pursuing. If you are on Facebook I have loads of CCSVI sites that would give you a better idea. Research ANYTHING, and here, even though an MS site in main, you will find lots of good ideas. I am so hyper about this as I had CCSVI treatment myself 3 months ago. No, it is not the end of MS (/ALS I imagine) but so many of my symptoms have gone and I feel like I am slowly recovering from a major illness. The only thing in my 15 years of MS to do something major. Good luck and if you want more links, e-mail me. Janet
