Guest guest
When I had my appendix out last July (done laparoscopically), I bled through my navel continuously for over 24 hours before they finally put in 8 stitches and bound me up for a few days. The blood wasn't even trying to clot, it was just a steady stream. This was something that should have resolved itself within an hour. Prior to starting fish oil and vitamin E back in Feb., I have never had any issues with coagulation in my life, labs were always perfect. Guest guest
Eight stitches needed in the navel may indicate a problem other than a coagulation issue. But I'm not a surgeon so I don't know. I'm rather sure that one can have their blood tested for coagulation as they do for Coumadin therapy. After the heart attack they tried me on Coumanadin but my blood wouldn't accept it, so they put me Aspirin which caused stomach bleeding, so I have been using fish oil ever sinse, with out a problem. ...RP Subject: Re: Omega 3 To: mscured Date: Monday, December 29, 2008, 6:50 PM When I had my appendix out last July (done laparoscopically) , I bled through my navel continuously for over 24 hours before they finally put in 8 stitches and bound me up for a few days.
