Guest guest
Last week I had bronchitus and strep. Took stuff. Pretty much got over it. Was able to go back to work this weekend. Took my MTX injection on Monday, three days late. Yesterday, the weather was cold and rainy. My hands started to look like sausages. Today, it's both sides but mostly my right hand with the neck and shoulder thrown in. Again, I've had to reschedule appointments. My right hand is also bruised? It's been almost 7 months since I was diagnosed and I feel like my rhemy thinks I'm a hyperchondriac! How long did it take all of you to get your RA 'under control'. I've had to explain to my employer 8 times what it is I have and how the immuno suppression medication makes me vunerable to every little 'bug' that comes into the spa. who is very frustrated!!! Guest guest
Hi : That was me 3 years before I got diagnosed with RA. I was sick all the time with back to back illnesses. Bronchitis, Asthma, U.R.I.'s, Pneumonia. Had every test imaginable and nothing showed up. Then one day, RA reared its ugly head. I have had it 6 years, and am now under control, with few flares, and a long time in between flares. It took a long time to find the right coctail for me. That is how this disease is. Lots of trial and errors with diff. meds and treatments. I know you are frustrated and sick of being sick all the time. That is what wears us down. Having a great Rheumy is half the battle. It just takes so long for meds. to work for us. That creates a big frustration level for us. I hope you will feel better soon, and that your RA meds. begin to work for you. Hang in there. We all care how you are feeling, and know just what you are going through. We have all been there. Wishing you pain free days ahead, and that you will feel better soon.
