Guest guest
Terri, I was born in Milford CT. :-) Milford is on the coast, and is an hour from Hartford. You may pass through it if you are taking amtrak from DC. In Hartford there is a Wadsworth Atheneum. A small museum, of Colonial Art. They have some Bierstadt paintings, which I still remember. If you are up to side trips in CT (which is not all that big) Mystic CT has the seaport and the Mystic Aquarium (and mystic pizza, if you like :-). It is on the shoreline. If you are into historical things, there are tons of little towns with 300+ year old buildings, all New England charmish :-) Just type in history tour CT into google. From Hartford you are two hours from Boston, which is fun in summer In Maine, Red's Eats (which is right on route 1 I think in portland) was featured on PBS show sandwiches you will like. It has the world's best freaking lobster roll.ever. The lobster roll is a lobster + some more worth of meat, steamed gently, served on a buttered, grilled hotdog roll, with a cup of melted butter on the side for dipping. We drove two summers ago from DC to Acadia national park, and on the way back down took a two hour detour so I could eat there. It was more than worth it. Have lots of fun! Guest guest
Hi Terri, it sounds like you'd need 1 shot of Enbrel while you're traveling? You could just bring a couple of cold packs with you and rotate them. Enliven services also has a really cool Enbrel travel pack that you can get if you just give them a buzz. I use mine all the time on shot day, for airplane travel (it even has a card for the TSA people), and I've driven across the country with it. Enliven also told me that they have safety and efficacy data on Enbrel that is kept at room temp for 72 hrs, so don't worry about brief periods of warmth as the cold packs warm up. Have a fab time! I love the east coast!
