Thanks for the welcome. I went off avonex a year ago in december, and switched to Rebif at that time. I really have no problem with the rebif, I just wonder if it is WORKING.?? If this is slowing progression, then I am just a freaking mess! It is good to hear that you are having success with the LDN! Thank you for the response, I love to hear that something is working for SOMEONE!!
Guest guest
> Hi i'm new to this group and not sure where to begin. Her stool is yellow sometimes > greenish frothy, loose and switches between constipation with dark > stool. Our Dan suspects malaborbtion. Yellow can mean liver stress. Green can mean liver stress or food intolerance. Frothy meant yeast overgrowth at my house. Constipation info http://www.danasview.net/constip.htm >>Will that affect how she digests > the supplements shes been getting? Yes >> And what can I do or give to help > her digest properly? Digestive enzymes are usually very helpful. Other supplements also help with digestion. Dana
Guest guest
Hi Ken Malabsorption can affect the supplements she is taking. Enzymedica makes the number one selling digestive enzyme. She can take one with each of her meals for better digestion and absorption of the nutrients in her foods. But then we also make two products that may help her with better absorption of her supplements depending on what she is taking. Vitamin Mineral Optimize (VMO) contains 5 mg of Bioperine and 13 enzymes known to assist with healthy digestion and assimilation. The potency is specific for supplemental vitamin, mineral and herb absorption when taken on an empty stomach. There is also another product called EFA Optimize for essential fatty acids. If you would like a sample of any of these products just let me know. Feel free to ask me any questions. Guest guest
Hello all. I am Steve and I was diagnosed in June 09 with RA. This has been the latest in a series of medical issues that have plagued me for the last several years. I was told 8 years ago that I needed both knees replaced. I went on a weight loss program and the problem disappeared. I have had 3 knee surgeries and 3 fusions (2 cervical and 1 lumbar), prostate cancer, and now RA. I have tried to roll with the punches, but everything is starting to wear out my enthusiasm. I try to encourage people (I am a pastor) and can give advice to people dealing with cancer, Alzheimer's, and now RA. I am not up to speed on the treatments, but I am learning. Currently take methotrexate and folic acid. Weather changes kill me and I cannot sit for long periods of time. My pain is in my hands, feet, and back. A question I have is this: If glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM are allegedly good for joint health, would it possibly help with the RA or could it counter act the methotrexate and folic acid? Thanks for any help. Steve S in Arkansas
Guest guest
Hi... I take glucosamine every day, I believe it helps but as with much of RA it takes a while to " feel " any changes. By the time you get there you're rally not sure if it's really doing anything. The others I do not take. However, I was told by my former rhematologist the MTX depletes vitamin D so I take that as well, and it did improve on my blood tests results. Folic acid is a given by most rheumatologist . Fish oil as been the one thing I do take that made a noticeable difference, I recommend it to everyone. Hope this helps. Stan Seattle, cloudy. [ ] Newbie to the group Hello all.
