Hi Ted,

My hubbie has to deal with my good days and bad days just like you. I am so

sorry that your family has to go through this. It isn't easy, but I'll bet

your relationship is well worth it. I know I miss the person I was before.

I am sure my hubbie does too.

However, this situation can be a time of emotional growth and increased

intimacy if the two of you communicate well and allow each other to have

whatever feelings you are experiencing without judgement. We mourn the loss

together and celebrate little milestones together all the time.

Don't let your wife give up on herself. Keep seeking treatment. Esp. for

the depression you described!!! Never let anyone tell you there is nothing

that can be done. One of these days we are all going to find things that

bring us relief from our pain, if only for a little while. You need to be

each other's cheer leaders!

Vent here when you need to. Tell her you love her all you can. Keep your

hope alive all the time. I wish I could offer you more than just support.

I'll be thinking of you.

TTYL,

Dear Ted;

I have to take a moment to commend you on caring about your wife enough to

join a group concerning her disease. It must be very hard on our loved ones

to see us become someone they hardly recognize. Someone who is unable to

enjoy life the way they once did ,or even do the simplest things without a

great deal of pain. Your wife is a very lucky woman to have someone like you

in her life, someone who is trying to be supportive and learn about ways to

help her.

My life mate is much more understanding than some I know. I encourage him to

be active even when I can't. I want him to be happy with our lives together

and he tries very hard to understand and work with my condition. Some of the

people with this condition have no support from their loved ones at all.

Please hang in there and I'm sure you will find some great encouragement and

even some tips to make her feel better at this group.

Please know we understand and care.

Heres to more pain free days and a cure

Hope
