Guest guest
Hi You know I never even thought about trying to get Elmer to drink Ensure. I don't know why, I guess because he doesn't have a problem with swallowing except when sitting at the table. Since he is still able to eat solids I didn't even think about trying him on it. It is amazing that they won't help accommodate him. I just get so weary of asking why?? I also get weary of asking why won't just go at meal time and help him. She does go about once a week and take him McD chicken nuggets which he dearly loves. She is about half a mile from him and could easily do it at least part of the time. Hope you are both feeling better. I'm sorry you have had such a hard time this last few months. Make sure you are getting enough rest and take advantage of all the help you can get. Guest guest
Sally Just read your letter to Vera and must agree. I have put off getting help thinking Warren wasn't as bad off but have finally made the decision and will start having someone in twice a week to start and I can't believe how I'm looking forward to it. The sleeping at night is the biggest wearing thing, it seems its always worse as night as he gets confused and I have to get up to help out not only supporting him to commode but telling where and what has to be done. I've been after Dr. for a condom catheter but so far no luck. Take care Sally, I really appreciate your support and hope things settle down with Elmer.
