Guest guest
, Be sure to watch the other testimonies by pulling down the drop down menu of mercurymatters. It is embarrassing to listen to myself stumble and mispronounce words. I do know the difference between begin and again, but we were under such pressure to get our testimonies finished in a 4 minute time span before the chair lady hollowed and interrupted us about our time being up. We were all under a lot of stress and had to speak fast. It didn't lead to the best public speaking skills. But we are delighted the public will get to actually hear with happened from these testimonies. The IAOMT has posted the written testimonies on their site. http://www.iaomt.org/articles/category_view.asp?intReleaseID=335 & catid=30 If you have trouble listening and understanding each word spoken, the written testimonies can help you understand better. The testimony of Freya Koss was cut a little short on mercurymatters. When the chairwoman thanked her for her testimony and said she appreciated it, Freya said under her breath, " I bet you do. " It cracked me up. The FDA did every thing possible to hinder us from coming and after we got there it was a battle every step we took. I did not know I was going to read the testimony of Brocato, who is in a wheel chair in Chicago from MS. But when they called her name, I jumped up unprepared, but I did have her testimony so I read it. had found a brochure the ADA put out in 1985 warning dentists to get tested for mercury since it was an occupational hazard. Yet ADA officials told the FDA Advisory Panel there were no problems with amalgam. There were dentists and dental assistants who testified about their being poisoned from being exposed to mercury in the workplace and in their mouths. FDA hearings are very interesting. You get first hand experience in listening to liars--liars with straight faces.
