Guest guest
I thought after I wrote my post that I shouldn't have singled out Sookie as being wacky! The whole cast is wacky! Kirk is hilarious! And the way Loralei and Rory interact and some of the stuff they say! Hilarious! And now that I think about it they do sometimes say they aren't hungry. Maybe they are good eating role models! I'm going to pay more attention to that now that I'm aware of it. I only watched Who once and I couldn't stand the way her character was portrayed. She just seemed so desperate for a friend and 's other friends were really rude to her when they were out at a club. It was one of the first episodes and I haven't watched it since. Miss Patty is quite an inspiration too. It's cool that she has the dance studio! That's cool we're both watching the same season now. I never really saw much of the whole Rory/Dean/Jess love triangle so interested to see how that turns out. And it's hard watching Loralei and Luke and not scream at the tv- "wake up...you guys are perfect for each other!!" Though it's true they eat a LOT of junk food,I actually think they are great role models because a lot of timesthey take a bunch of food, but don't eat much. Or they'll reference"not being hungry." It's also just nice to see people EAT. I imagine they don't eat onscreen much because keeping food edible on set is hard. I also love Sookie. Yes, she's wacky - but all of the characters onthat show are. We have the entire show on DVD and we're watchingseason 3 now, too, lol. I will say that it makes me miss pizza (I used to live in NYC and nowam in a fairly rural part of CO where good pizza is elusive, lol). The actress who plays Sookie is now on Who? and the characteris much more dowdy and typical of the "fat sidekick." It's hard to seeher in that role. There are actually several actors on Gilmore Girls who are heavy (ifonly by TV standards) and it's nice that you see these actressesworking in roles that aren't some sort of walking fat joke. Guest guest
I hope you can borrow them somewhere! They have them at my local library. You can search their database online and request stuff and then when it comes in they call you. We can have them for 3 weeks. Regular movies are only a week but a whole season you get for 3 weeks. You have to be patient and wait for stuff to come in but it's totally free so I don't mind the wait! It's great too for requesting new books. You should check your library out...I had no idea they had dvd's until a friend told me. I only started watching the last few seasons as well, so I've been eyeing off the box sets of all the earlier series ... must see if I can borrow them too from somewhere. And you're right, those girls do love a snack! (And I've often wanted to graze freely through Sookie's yummy-looking kitchen.);-)Sig>.. I have Season 3 of the Gilmore Girls on dvd from the library and I've been working my way through it. They eat A LOT on that show! I think that was the problem. ... I didn't watch the show until the last couple of seasons so I'm happily watching the dvd's now.> Looking for the perfect gift?
