Guest guest
Hi Jolene, Nabumetone was one of the original pain medication prescribed me when I was first diagnosed with RA. It didn't help me any. I've heard that it is the equivalent to Ibuprofen. Please don't quote me because I could be wrong! I have a website I used to keep track and updated for medication that I take. I'm not sure about the rules of posting website's on this group so if you are interested in the site just let me know and I'll send it to you. But if I'm told that I'm allowed to post it I will so everyone can use it that wants to. But here is a list of things that it says about Nabumetone for me. Maybe you can use some of the info. Hope this helps some. Michigan > > Has anyone ever taken nabumetone? Guest guest
Sorry! I forgot to paste the list of things about nabumetone on my last post. This is just an example. These are cautions for myself. And the site gives all kinds of info about the drug you are taking. Along with reviews left from people using the drug in question. Here it is: Using Prednisone and Nabumetone together may increase the risk of stomach ulcers. As a result, patients should be extra watchful for abdominal pain and/or changes in bowel motions. Using Nabumetone and Leflunomide together may increase the risk of liver problems. As a result, Nabumetone, Leflunomide treatment/dose and liver function should be closely monitored. Nabumetone contains similar active ingredients to Indomethacin, currently listed in your profile. Taking these drugs together could increase the risk of side effects and/or accidental overdose. Using Citalopram and Nabumetone together may increase the risk of bleeding problems. As a result, patients should be extra watchful for excessive bleeding, bruising, headache or change in bowel motions. Using Sulfasalazine and Nabumetone together may increase the risk of kidney problems, particularly in patients with prior kidney disease. As a result, Sulfasalazine, Nabumetone treatment/dose and kidney function should be regularly reviewed when these drugs are used together. > > Has anyone ever taken nabumetone? Guest guest
I have been on Relafen (nabumetone) for a number of years, 15 or so, along with PQ, MTX and just started Enbrel 2 weeks ago. It has been the remaining NSAID that works for me. At one point, it did cause me stomach issues and I had to go off for a little while, so make sure you eat adequately as it will tear up your stomach. I take 2 with my heaviest meal. > > > > > Has anyone ever taken nabumetone?
