Guest guest
Hi Janice You commented that " Down the road, I think a cure for some kinds of RA are going to go back to the infections that seem to trigger it in so many people. " Well, there are already thousands who are treating their RA and other auto-immune diseases with antibiotics because they believe many cases of it come from mycoplasma stealth bacteria and research seems to bear this out. It's been a theory since the 1930's and been treated with antibiotics since then but because it's such a low dose it takes months to see results and people want quick results so it's not a popular treatment with either rheumatologists or patients. I opted for it because I didn't want the side effects of the other drugs but I'm prepared to use them if the antibiotic treatment isn't enough eventually. Cross my fingers it will be ok though.
