Guest guest
I, too, have always been a green tea drinker. I just switched to white tea (which is a milder form of green tea). I have read in several places that you can get rid of quite a bit of hte caffeine by steeping for 30 seconds, dumping the cup, and the re-steeping the tea. This only works well with loose tea. Bagged tea doesn't hold up to re-steeping. I don't know if caffeine is OK in small amounts or not. Anybody know?? I don't care for the decaf I can buy around here and I always want organic tea, which I can't seem to find decaf. Guest guest
Tea can get very detailed. There are many different kinds and many DO have medicinal purposes. Here is what I know as I am seeing a Chinese doctor and they use a lot of tea to relieve different aliments. Of course, this is ONLY toward my constitution and each person has a different constitution. For example, I used to drink Matcha green tea as I had heard of the health benefits, but with my constitution, I am not suppose to drink Green tea, I need to have black or Darijarn. There are many black teas without caffeine too. I am told to put any tea into a cup and let it seep for 15 minutes (covered). Then use that same tea for up to 6 times - letting it seep each time. I don't think caffeine is small amounts is harmful. The reason that it is hard to find decaffeinated ORGANIC tea is because they have to use chemicals to extract the caffeine - which makes it hard to decaffeinate. However, it does exist, plus there are a lot of nice tasting tea that doesn't have caffeine. Roe > > ... Now i'm not so sure if it would be a good idea. I drink no caffeine and follow a healthy lifestyle but need something to take the chill away in the morning. Any suggestions?
