Hi ,

I was on Plaquenil quite some time ago. I don't ever remember being woozy from

that med, but I DID have eye issues. My eyesight declined drastically, and

still IS changing every 6-7 months, even though I've been off plaquenil for a

long time. Maybe it stays in your system..........???

Anyway, sorry I can't offer much advice on your question. I think that's one of

the main problems with those of us who have been diagnosed for so long: we have

all been on so many different meds that after a while they all seem to run

together, so we don't remember which drugs cause what reactions. At least

that's MY problem! LOL......

I would call the doc's office and run it passed him/her. They can put your mind

at ease. If you aren't comfortable with calling the doc's office, call your

pharmacy & ask them.

Good luck to you!

Chris

Hi

I was diagnosed in August with RA, and have probably had RA for over twenty

years <sigh>

My Rheumy put me on Plaquenil and I have had about a 90% improvement since

then. It took about three months for it to kick in, but I am much better now.

I can't tell you that I am totally pain free, but my energy levels are better

and I can actually turn a key in a door without excrutiating pain !

I'm not on any steroids yet. I also take Prilosec OTC since the Plaq upsets my

stomach. I am on the Generic form of it, and have had no allergy issues.

Hope this info helps...
