Guest guest
Sorry to hear you are feeling lousy today. Hope tomorrow will bring brighter and painfree day. What is the RA diet? I am interested in anything to help. I feel crappy today myself. I didn't realize but Cellebrex really did help but had to discontinue it due to stomach and GI upset. I started to even get a little IBS, I think from the drug but not sure. I am currently doing a trial of Prednisone and hope it helps. My RA doctor started me off on a very low dose because I was nervous about it. I thinks it 30mg the first day and taper over 6 days. Its more diagnostic to see how I respond. I am with you afraid to give in and get on all those meds, but I have heard to treat RA aggressively to reduce all that inflammation that actually destroys joints is the point to it. You have to do whats right for yourself and you will know when enough is enough and mentally prepared to look into options. Good luck. > > Hi everyone. I don't post often; however, felt the need to today. The RA diet that I do works well, but then I feel good and slack off the diet only to flare up! I have done two 5k's since I last posted and have signed up for a 10k - I guess I like punishment!! Yesterday I felt great and then today I woke up in so much pain I can't even believe it. I still am afraid to start taking any of the RA meds, but when I feel like I do today I start to rethink my decisions. So here I sit in pain seeing if I can just get through it and keep going, but I suppose some day I am going to have to give in and start some type of medication before I cripple up, which is what I am feeling like today!!! I know that there are worse things out there, but our disease really sucks. I hope everyone is feeling somewhat good today. Thanks for listening. Guest guest
Hey - The RA diet is something that I try that came from a Holistic M.D. He believes that by eliminating certain foods, you can see what affects you - something called leaky gut where you have an allergic reaction to certain foods and it causes inflammation. If you are interested in the information you can e-mail me and I will send it to you as a word attachment. Thanks, Donna
