Eva I finaly ordered the book. just reading what I have about ie and the support group I relaize i have a long jounery. becomming aware is the first step i think. last night I went to emergency room. i thought i had a bloodclot in my leg or infection but no a burst vein. releived but the emergency room is in awful shape you check in out frint and shae a room divided by curtains. a man on one side getting his hand sewed up and a girl in withdrawl fom drugs on the other side.she hollered and carried on \. I spent 5 hours there then a girl who lives in this town who is one you want to avoid attached her self to us and we had to give her a ride home. I ate everything in sight when i got home. today we ate out after church and I was aware when i got full but didn't want to stop because of taste. so folks i am a very new beginer. Re: book Betty glad you are here and posting. Being aware is certainly the first step and accepting that this can take time is excellent too. Just do what you can as you can and let the rest come as you are able to add it. Truly, practice works its own miracles and one thing that many of us find good too, albeit hard to do, is to be KIND and gentle with yourself especially while you are starting your IE journey. Guest guest Posted July 28, 2008 Report Share Posted July 28, 2008 We have been so busy this summer that my snailmail and email are really piled up. My husband comes home tomorrow from Off-Shore. He'll only be home 7 days and we'll be so busy the whole week that he is home. We have got to go and buy school clothes for the children. School will be starting on the 8th of August here. Maybe once it starts I'll have more time to keep up with snailmail and email too. I'm trying to figure out what and where I want to go on my anniervsary. On the 3rd of August Jim and I will be married 31 years. My niece said that the children could stay at her house one night while we went somewhere. So we'll have to wait and see what we really want to go and do. Plus we're suppose to take the boys to the fun park for athon's late birthday present. That is what he wanted to do. He will leave on the 4th going back to work. So we have a lot to do in a little bit of time. So please bare with me once school starts I will be able to post more. No need to worry about not posting! However if you do find something about your eating that you really are concerned with, I hope you can carve the minute from your day to do that. Guest guest Posted July 29, 2008 Report Share Posted July 29, 2008 Just gotten the book read a little still getting the tools from DR Barbra anyway been really stressed but getting more aware of eating to much I pay when I do eat to many carbs though there not off limits as a diabetic my body tells me when I have to much once before when I thought whish they were but are better my kidneys were getting worse I had to test my sugar to see if I needed food or if it was just me. The book as it names the different kind of eaters i have been all these at one time or another. I think I can't resit eater right now. In fact so much that I couldn't put it all into action right away either. I think you are double smart to take on an aspect like diet mentality first, get a grip on it for yourself and then take on other practices/principles as you feel interested and ready to do those.
