Clora - I'm so sorry to hear how your RA doc spoke to you! I know exactly what

you mean about the allergies. I had never been allergic to any medication until

I was diagnosed w/ RA and most of the meds, I can't take. My rheumy didn't

believe me once so the next time I started getting a reaction from a med, I

drove over to his office - my face  - lips & eyes swollen & red. I sat in the

waiting room (no appt) for only 5-10 min when my throat started to feel like it

was in the beginning stages of closing up --the nurse immediately took me into

an office. They never questioned me again. Ever..

 

Have you ever tried Rituxan? It's an infusion.

The rain makes me hurt , I don't care what study is done. I am

so sorry for what your going through Dennis.

haaaaaaaa. My sister-n=law is from Spartanburg SC and she

warned me about the South and I didnt believe her. I believe

her now. I have made some wonderful friends here anyway lol.

I been here about 10 to 15 years, moved from Cleveland Ohio. I came to excape

the snow lol

Group,,, My rheumy was so mean today. .

She said she wants me to take the sulfazaline and if I break

out to call her. She told me this tuesday, as if I made it all up.

She fussed at me likes it's my fault for being allergic. It's friday and I

havent broke out. I been taking it since tues.

It must of been a combination of the other meds. She said she

wants me to take it, because there's nothing else except remicade.

And the enbrel needs a booster. I have no idea what she is

talking about. I really broke out before.

My groin area is hurting, I think it's the sulfazaline, cause

it never hurt before. I have been on a lot of medications since

2007. MXT, broke me out horably, Plaqunil messed me up too. Hummira

just didnt work. She act like I have been making it all up. Now

since I didnt brake out she will really think I made it up. .

She can forget

me trying the MXT or the Plagunil.. I broke out all over my

body with them.

Hi Clora: I feel really badly that you are going through a tough time.

You so deserve a more caring and compassionate Rheumy. Are there any

other Rheumy's in your area that you could try? You can't help being

allergic to meds. No one likes that to happen. I know you are

searching for your " perfect cocktail " so you can begin to feel better

and get out of all your pain. I so hope you find it.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. You are a lovely woman, and we all

enjoy your posts. I am so glad you are back with us.

I hope you get out of pain soon. I care.

Clora,

The biologic meds like enbrel work better with another med. I take mtx w/ the

humira, and it works well.

With all the meds you take, it's hard to figure out which meds could make you

break out. Just explain to your doctor, I'm sure she will understand. If your

having trouble with your groin, you will need to find out what's going on there.
