Guest guest
Hi, My name is . I had surgery a month ago on the 10th. I've only lost about 40lbs. I have a lot of questions. My goal is to get down to 130. I have a long way to go and I feel like will never get there. I get hungry a lot and have bad habbit of eating things that are more dense like refried beans or something. If someone could help me that would be great. Would just like to have someone to talk to. Thanks, P.S. I'm only up to walking around the block once a day!!!!! It would be great to be able to walk a mile! ha ha Shauna Thalman wrote: Please share your WLS goals. Have you made goal weight? Guest guest
Oh my gosh !!!! 40 lbs is awesome!!!!!! You will get to 130!! You just need to follow your dr's rules. At 4 weeks out you should be fine eating refried beans as long as you do the low fat kind. What type of diet does your Dr have you on? The denser foods will help you not feel so hungry. You are probably also dealing with some head hunger. At 4 weeks I was still tired, it was hard for me to get up and going and walking. I was also really tired of protein shakes (I did 4 weeks of them post op). I also had a hard time with head hunger and I was very impatient with my weight loss, I wanted it off and I wanted it off NOW!!! LOL It will come!! You just have to be patient. Six months from now you are going to look back in amazement!! TRUST ME!!! I started out at 266 and I'm bouncing in between 145 and 149 right now. I want to lose another 10 lbs but haven't been very motivated to do it. My husband has been traveling a lot for work so my kids and I and doing a lot of hot dogs, chicken nuggets and soup!! Yes I know bad bad bad. I also still do a lot of cottage cheese and eggs. But I do go to the gym 3 days a week and I watch how much I eat. I'm 21 months out and really have to watch what I eat. If you have anymore questions please post them. J Hugs!! > > > Please share your WLS goals. > > Have you made goal weight? My goal is to be 160 lbs. > > Learned new eating habits? I have tested the limits by licking a spoon of peanutbutter etc... I am sooo bad! Commercials are the worst! But I believe I can make it. Guest guest
I always had problems with deciding to eat or drink when I first had the surgery. This was an issue because if I drank then I would not be hungry and my doctor was telling me that I was not eatin enough. So maybe drinking will help with the issue of eating. If you drink more you eat less. Hope I have helped. Take care. > > > Please share your WLS goals. > > Have you made goal weight? My goal is to be 160 lbs. > > Learned new eating habits? Guest guest
... GO GIRL! Commercials SUCK so bad that I change the channel. They are horrid. I once heard that if you think of something for like 10 seconds straight, it gets into your mind and you start thinking about that particular thing. I hope that I can start losing weight soon!!! xoxo Wannabe Princess > Hey , > Thanks for the encouragement.
