Guest guest
Hello this is ;quitting work is up to you:I myself is in the same situation but i don't have enough money to quit or close my business down at this time. With me owning my own business i can slow my work down some what. But i still have to survive. You well need funds to quit work and go on Disability if thats your plan. It could be years before anything comes about face before Disability takes shape. If i quit work at this time i will loose everything.I'm what you consider a stage 3 at this time with RA. Do your homework before you make a broad decision like that. Seek financial help. Good luck. P.S. Â Â Â Â Â Don't stop living keep up with your Daughter if possible:It might just help you in the long run. From: megsbyte <megsbyte@...> Subject: [ ] When to quit work Date: Tuesday, March 29, 2011, 3:28 PM Â So how does one know when it's time to quit working? It's getting to the point that I'm out every other week, usually due to colds or exhaustion. Two weeks ago I was hospitalized with chest pains. I had inverted T waves, so they did a full CT with stress test and found that my heart is in great shape, but my RA has progressed to my neck back and shoulders. At this point, I go to work, come home and go to sleep. I seem to pick up colds like others pick up their mail. Guess that's due to the mx and rhemicade. My daughter told me that she misses the old me because we never go out and do anything fun anymore. Any advice on knowing when to pull the plug on retirement? Guest guest
I work at a Center for Independent Living and we have people there called Work Incentive Coordinators who counsel people about working and still collecting their disability benefits. If might be good to speak with someone like that. You maybe be able to file for disability and still work part time..........I am not sure what they are called in your state but in Oregon it is called WIN work incentive network. What state are you in? I can try and find out for you or maybe google the local Center for Independent Living as they are all over the country and work with seniors and people with disabilities. Good luck. There are days when I think I cannot go on working too........I am trying to hang in there as long as possible. I have RA which is mild right now but also fibro, osteo, bad knees and degenerative disk disease in back so I understand..............Hang in there Pat in Southern Oregon Bureau Alvarez Healing Pathways Coordinator HASL Independent Abilities Center (541) 479-4275 ________________________________ From: robert tennent <thetennentcompany2@...> Sent: Tue, March 29, 2011 3:23:48 PM Subject: Re: [ ] When to quit work Hello this is ;quitting work is up to you:I myself is in the same situation but i don't have enough money to quit or close my business down at this time. With me owning my own business i can slow my work down some what. But i still have to survive.
